ABOUT YOGAHOP FITNESS
Hi I am Nina I practiced Yoga for over 15 years before becoming a teacher. I took my children on an around the world adventure and my yoga practice transformed as I took classes of all different styles in every country that we visited. It was personal year of discovery into Yoga and I was hooked! When we got home with both boys at school and lots of spare time I decided to learn how to teach so that I could share my passion with as many people as possible. I had found yoga to be a life changer, a whole mind and body support system and I wanted to share it. I trained with Yogabody in Barcelona because the course is super practical and gives an extended knowledge of yoga but the practical skills to teach the public. I learnt not just yoga, but breathing techniques, nutrition, and seated meditation practices.
I taught as a volunteer for various charities especially specialising in helping children with self harming and mental health problems to find alternatives and distractions. This is still an important part of my week and although I know love to teach yoga from my studio at home helping people achieve their mind and body fitness goals.
In addition to my Yoga teacher training course I have trained in Yoga trapeze, Reiki healing, postural analysis, gait analysis, anatomy and physiology and nutrition and wellbeing. The list will continue to grow as I am always trying to learn as much as possible as often as I can.
Yogahop is a studio at my home in Mere, Cheshire. When not teaching I can be found doing some other sort of exercise or outside activity as I love to be outdoors and in nature. I can also be found at the side of a football pitch watching my children kick a ball around. I am a health food and juicing junkie but I believe in balance so love to indulge in eating and drinking what I fancy from time to time.
My family Nature, music and the people I meet in the charities I spend time in...I am an anatomy geek...inspired by the human body and what it can achieve.
WHY I PRACTICE
I practice for inner and outer fitness and health. Yoga is my main workout and meditation technique. It helped carry me through the most difficult times of my life and will continue to do so. Its my best friend..in it i find a sense of peace and balance amidst my stressful life and after my practice I see the beauty and uniqueness that lies within and all around me.
WHY I TEACH
Before having children I worked in corporate training, achieving cipd, nlp and citp qualifications. I started my training career at 16 and only came out of the corporate training environment when I started a family. I feel beyond blessed to have found a way to combine that skill with my passion for Yoga.
The beauty of Yoga is that in finding your physical strength you find yourself (even if you're not looking).
It's such a gift to be able to share my passion of mind-body awareness with others and guide them towards being their best selves and loving their bodies. Spreading the love, and working in an environment of self growth and happiness! I love teaching 121 clients where I get to see a transformation and be a part of making it happen.
I am living my dream and passion through teaching yoga and making a difference in the lives of my yoga students by teaching them breath, movement and self-care.
